Just How Big is Apple? [Infographic]

With iOS ownership getting very close to rivaling that of cars, Apple has shown that it is truly a master of devices in the new information age. To date, there are over 200 million iOS devices in use. In 2011 alone, Apple’s iPhone sales numbered 72 million. Now, with the introduction of the iPad, Apple is projected to vastly increase its revenue.

With its product releases among the most anticipated around the globe, Apple has recently announced that it plans to start paying dividends to its stock holders. Within the first year, this number is projected to generate around $10 billion.

Although Apple is still enjoying incredible sales of the iPad and its variants, the device giant still attributes nearly 40 percent of its total revenue to the success of the iPhone. With this massive success and the recent speculation that they will soon allow its hand-held products to serve as a mobile payment device, Apple is slated to continue to grow financially.

Cool infographic and one that should be considered is just how successful Apple is with a fraction of the # of products that others companies offer and sell. The question of course is will the momentum keep up or will a competitor hit the next “got to have thing” which will eventually whittle into Apple’s margin.

Only time will tell whether Apple will maintain its position or not. Anyways, thanks for commenting Justin ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a really good infographic, it’s actually pretty amazing how big Apple are now! It’s unbelievable that they nearly went bankrupt nearly 15 years ago and now they’re set to become the first $1 trillion dollar company.
